It feels like I’ve woken up in a different world this week, travelling from the crisp autumn streets of London to the exotic city of Dubai. What was meant to be a quick stopover turned in to the most wonderful experience with a very special (and fabulously fashionable) friend of mine.
My dear friend is THE Miss Camilla Franks, queen of the kaftan and a woman whose vibrant style looks so completely at home against Dubai’s stunning desert scenery. And a little secret…Camilla was my first ever boss when I started working in fashion! So when I found out I’d be in Dubai at the same time as one of my first career mentors, we immediately synched diaries and spent a couple of days together exploring this incredible destination.
I really love the contrasts of Dubai – standing on my balcony I had the glittering blue sea on one side and the dusty desert on the other. I discovered an oasis in the middle of the desert, soaked up the architecture and culture of the city, and Camilla and I enjoyed our very own Arabian adventure with a breathtaking dining experience and camel ride through the sand. #DREAMY
Dubai you’ve stolen a piece of my heart yet again! Do I have to come home??
FYI: We stayed at AL-QASR, Jumeirah, and the Desert Experience was via Arabian Adventures.
