As some of you may be aware Tory Burch has come to Australia – I have fallen for the elegant fragrances that I helped welcome to Australia a couple of months ago.
I thoroughly enjoy the eclectic and classic vibe that runs through everything she touches, and her newest perfumes ‘Jolie Fleur’ are no exception. Tory has taken inspiration from her own personal sanctuary – her garden – to design three fragrances reflecting her favourite florals and their colours. What a gorgeous concept!
Fragrances mean so much to me; I can pinpoint a significant moment in my life from the scent of my perfume at that time. Certain fragrances will take me back to my teenage years, to my first job, to incredible holidays and memorable celebrations. So of course I had to play around with my own interpretations of these delicate scents:
Jolie Fleur Rose, channeling the timeless rose in both fragrance and the beautiful blush colour. A chance for me to embrace my feminine side ( not seen to often!) in dusky pinks, slinky fabrics and dainty accessories.
Jolie Fleur Verte, evoking chic stems from lily of the valley – sharper notes and a deeper scent, one for the tomboys. This fragrance called for a green style choice in tribute to its name – and yes, the limes in my gin and tonic were carefully accessorised with the look!
Jolie Fleur Bleue, capturing that summer scent of tuberose and a dash of grapefruit, my newly appointed business fragrance! My look was feminine – yet strong, with pale blues against crisp whites with neutral shades.
I channeled my inner ‘Tory’ at the stunning Halcyon House… more on that in my next post. For now, signing off on a scent-sational journey through Tory Burch’s garden it was so much fun indulging my inner style chameleon.
