Silky staples. Minimalist monochrome. Traces of neutral, and a flash of shoulder through elegant slips. This is what I call my ‘everyday luxe’ uniform, when I want to get my “chic on”.

You can never have too many pieces like this in your wardrobe. They’re for the days when channeling a trend isn’t on the agenda but looking elegant is. Or to roll up and fit in a carry-on suitcase for a city break or business trip. When you want to breathe and feel cool while rushing around on a warm day. And the perfect day-to-night look; just change from a designer ballet flat to a heel, shrug on a blazer and add a statement lip.

These luxe basics come courtesy of label Ginia – a brand I’ve literally been ‘in bed with’ for some time thanks to their gorgeous silk sleepwear. They’ve now launched a Ready to Wear collection of decadent basics which have quickly become my new outfit essentials. I love the sharp lines contrasted with silky smooth fabrics, the fact that it’s daywear but it feels so high end, and that wearing these pared-back, simple pieces seems to clear my head and give me poise and focus.
