I’m often asked which season is my favourite in fashion – Winter with its chic layering options, opulent fabrics and statement coats? Springtime, when I begin to flirt with bare limbs and experiment with runway trends from the fashion week circuit, or Autumnal ensembles where the trench reigns supreme and bare toes are switched for ballet flats.

Blame the sporty/hate spending hours getting ready/just want to throw something on and make mischief side of me that simply adores Summer. I revel in the warmest season, from its blistering high summer days on the sand to the semi tropical evenings back home in Sydney where an al fresco lunch turns in to balmy cocktails and who knows what else. I’m a summer-worshipper – not to be confused with sun-worshipper, slip slop slap and all that, treasure your skin ladies! But seriously, I’m a huge fan of summer in Australia – all pool parties, and ocean days – and I’m even guilty of chasing two seasons in twelve months by summering overseas in Europe or in the States (You’ll find me lounging at Moby’s in The Hamptons!)

And one of the best things about summer is the simple EASE of putting a look together. Do I need a jacket? Never. What about accessories? Simple and statement.  And the beauty side? Left over bronze zinc and beachy waves are all you need. I’m literally  a free spirit on summer days, relying on one or two cool pieces to make up my ensemble – the only rule being wear something which can go from the beach to the boutiques to a dinner party to the inevitable late night bar. Easy!

So you can imagine my giddiness when the gorgeous people at Camilla & Marc let me raid their C&M Resort collection and curate my ideal summer staples. These guys have my summer style rulebook nailed. All the staples are there! The statement tee, backless LBD’s, crisp white shirts and cute-as-hell denim. The folksy oversized tunic will be slipped over many a bikini this season and may even join me at a music festival, and the baby doll dress and white off-the-shoulder number are made for effortless days.

Float away on a summer breeze – staples like these are just so darn dreamy. Wake me up when winters’ on the way…
