Fashion and interiors most certainly go hand in hand. Sleek, minimalist rooms are a take on pared-back style. Extravagant printed wallpapers are the Pucci’s and Dolce’s of the home. Exposed copper and steel accents match up with that decadently beaded dress in your wardrobe. If only I could spend as much time searching for homewares as I do sourcing clothes!
The new Golf House development in Sydney’s Surry Hills has got me far too excited. This swish block of apartments hasn’t even finished being built, but I was able to “move in” for a day (what a tease!) where I saw firsthand the incredible collaboration between the architects’ PTI and designer Collette Dinnigan.
The first lady of Australian style has taken charge of the interiors and it’s like living inside a high fashion coffee table book. Chic all-white rooms catching the natural light of the city, carrara marble bench tops and scandi-style recycled wooden floors, totally tiled bathrooms, and gorgeous printed wallpaper – A great backdrop for some weekend worthy wear.
Cosy knits for snuggling up with a glass of wine. Distressed denim for lounging around, An A-line indigo skirt for preparing dinner (Well I would imagine anyway) and who doesn’t want to throw on a boyfriend shirt on a Sunday morning while you sip coffee and flick through magazines.
You can view a little slice of real estate heaven at The Golf House, outfits not included I’m afraid!
