Most of you will know that I’ve been jetting back and forth between my home in Sydney, and The United States – spending majority of my time between Manhattan and The Hamptons. Coming back to winter in Sydney was certainly a shock to the system.
Just as I started getting itchy feet and yearning for some more time in the big apple, the gorgeous team at Tory Burch did the next best thing…they brought Manhattan to my corner of the world.
I was privileged to co-host a lunch celebrating the arrival of Tory Burch’s fragrances on Australian shores at one of my favourite dining destinations “Chiswick” – ’twas a scent-sational insight in to the inspiration behind each of her fragrances.
This was the debut of Tory Burch fragrances, so as you can imagine, the air was filled with spritzing bottles, oohs and ahs, and the divine smell of the two perfumes – Tory Burch “Eau de Parfum” and Tory Burch “Absolu” – we got to hear from Tory direct from her abode across the globe about the vision and influence behind each scent, my personal favourite – Indian ‘vetiver’, her father’s signature scent, that underpins each of her perfumes, and her creative process when constructing these effortlessly chic products.
EDP is one of those fragrances that looks so elegant on a vanity table – the bottle has a nod to the Tory Burch signature fretwork and the scent is all citrus and florals. Absolu is the next variation with more of a sophisticated feel and I’ve already placed it in my evening/date/black tie dinner scent category.
This was such a fun day and I was thrilled to help welcome the Tory Burch brand to Australia. First the perfumes…next the fashion? Heres hoping.
Ps, how divine is the Tory Burch table setting and crockery? I.Literally.Need.It.Now!
Available via David Jones nationally from 14th August, and via Sephora and Myer from 11th September – Happy spritzing!
