My love affair with stepping back in time continues, this time in the speakeasy-style bar of the J&M in Sydney.

With plush interiors, huge leather sofas and fascinating clientele I was transported back to the prohibition era, so it’s was only appropriate that my outfits played up to the theme. Max & Co. felt just right.

A luxe peacoat for modest ladies, oriental shift with a pussy bow perfect for secret rendezvous, and trench and cap combo capturing an air of mystery. Classic glamour clashing with the gritty underground of a secret bar – and I’m all set to soak up the opulent surroundings while sipping on a dirty martini.
